The piano has always played an important role in my life. It was the first instrument that I came in contact with when my parents purchased a beautiful old pianola. After many years of classical study and musical wanderings in different bands playing piano, keyboards and different stringed instruments, I now also work as a piano coach after completion of a light music state exam in 1995.
I work with solid piano methods, such as the Folk Dean method (a classical piano tutorial for beginners), but also other methods of classical and light music suitable for both adults and children, including the Hanon series, Alfred’s piano method, the Junior Jazz method of Herman Beeftink, a selection of music from my own archives, and a number of self-written teaching materials.
Students who, apart being active on their main instrument, also want to develop the theoretical aspect of their music study are often drawn to the piano to study subjects such as chord construction, ear training, etc. or other topics mentioned in the music theory section of this website.
